Tips For Saving Money in Las Vegas

Las Vegas. An adult playground in the Nevada Desert, where you can come home a big winner or a big loser. The fancy restaurants, the amazing shows, the epic nightlife, Las Vegas certainly has a made itself into a haven for adult travelers. In the land that is built on losers, it’s important to walk away a winner. And by starting your trip the right way, you can only hope that Lady Luck will take mercy on you in the casino.

We travel to Las Vegas at least 4 times a year and we are in no means high rollers. Being flexible and taking the time to seek out deals has allowed us to really be able to enjoy ourselves, without feeling like our budget is holding us back. So we decided to share our secrets with you of how to save money if you are headed to Las Vegas.

Tip 1: If you haven’t already, start playing MyVegas Slots.

If you want to know the biggest way we are able to save money our Las Vegas adventures, it’s MyVegas Slots, a FREE GAME with real rewards. This game allows the players to gamble for virtual currency that you are able to use towards rewards in the real world. I haven’t had to pay for rooms or buffets for my past 5 trips to Las Vegas because I religiously play this game (and force my travel companions to play as well).

You can play MyVegas on Facebook or on mobile apps that are available for download for Android and Apple products. MGM resorts is the largest partner with MyVegas, but there are plenty of other companies who participate: Wolfgang Puck restaurants, Maverick Helicopter Tours, and House of Blues all have rewards that can be purchased through MyVegas. They even have cruise line partnerships every once in a while, if Las Vegas isn’t the only place you want to travel.

Tip 2: Use LEGITIMATE websites that offer cash back incentives.

I know that there are a lot of websites out there promising big payouts, with minimal effort. Well, not to burst anyone’s bubble, but if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. From my own trial and error, I have found two cash back websites that I actually enjoy using, Swagbucks and Ibotta. I have been able to use these two loyalty programs as my own little savings accounts for my vacations since I use them whenever I purchase anything online, and when I go grocery shopping. If you are interested in signing up for either of these free programs or want more information, please click the banners above and below.

Tip 3: Use Groupon to save money on dining and attractions!

I love using Groupon as a way to help me save money on experiences when I’m traveling. I have had so many fun experiences that I otherwise would have missed out on, had I not been checking Groupon for a deal. This tip is especially great  if they are running a promo code that can be applied to your order for an additional discount.
If you download the Groupon app, it makes it even easier to redeem your vouchers since they just have to be shown on your phone. For Las Vegas, you can often find great discounts for shows on the strip, nice restaurants, and spa treatments. So no matter what you’re looking for, check Groupon first.

Tip 4: Look on Yelp for Happy Hour Deals

This has saved us tons of money when we are in Las Vegas!!! No one wants to go to a city FULL of amazing restaurants, only to eat fast food the entire time. Our biggest budget stretcher is to find happy hour specials. Some of the best restaurants in vegas have some type of happy hour. A few restaurants even offer late night happy hour trying to get all the business from people leaving the clubs. Yelp is super helpful in this case, just search happy hour and you’ll find hundreds of deals.

Hopefully these tips can help you with planning the best trip to Las Vegas without your budget holding you back.
